I have been so busy out in my garden, I know you thought I must have gone to the beach!!!  I am getting back on track.  If you don't see anything it just means I am out in the garden harvesting the yummy goodies growing!!  Flowers always make me smile and this is a treasure bag felted with dyed cheese cloth, wool and angelina fiber for some extra sparkle.

Lilies still beautiful with time!

Time changes these lilies into another phase of beauty:
With the passage of time these lilies of valley inspire warmth and beauty.  Dried lilies of the valley on hand knit feather and fan throw for use on those brisk days in the New England garden.  A mix of whites like the passages of time on the lilies.

Alchemist Seen in the Garden

I am over come by the beauty and scent of  these Lilies of the Valley and have a lap throw soon to be seen- thanks to these flowers.  Can you see the knitted cables in the vase?  The garden calls to me to enjoy the renewal of life and everywhere I turn I see beauty and hope.

More Tea?

Yes, Downton Fever strikes again!  The perfect  hat for a cup of tea made with a silk mix and velveteen and  a nuno felted pin for flair.  The scarf is so you won't catch a chill- it can be switched up to wear as a shrug.  Made with a wool and sterling silver blended yarn and pewter buttons.  Surely you would like to join me in a cup of  Lady Grey?

Doin' It Downton Style!

On Good Friday I had 3 large boxes of luscious fabrics dropped off at my door step!  Since my computer has been down. I've been channeling my inner Downton Abbey.  Making hats and dreaming of lovely tea parties.  More hats to come!  This hat is made in velveteen and has a rose made from a zipper.  I am having a good time.

Water Dreams

Shawl hand knit in a free form style. With various yarns.
Dreaming of floating  away on streams of flowing water.  Far, far, away to places of sun and sand.  Where all you hear is the water moving and the birds overhead.

Tool Solution

Found the perfect solution for holding all my cutting tools!   Several Christmases ago my sister made record bowls for all of us in our family.  I found all my tools fit nicely into the folds that were made.  A big thanks to Harper.  Now everything is together and I don't spend so much time hunting around.  Yes I am still working my way through my UFOs.

Feeling A Little Loopy

Loopy cuff scarf made out of beautiful rayon yarn
This current January thaw has thrown me for a Loop.  Overcome by a case of  spring fever!!!  So what do I do?  Decide to repaint my studio- which means opening cabinets and cleaning them out so they can be painted.  Simple right?  Wrong,  I open the cabinets and what do I find UFO's.  Yikes! not just one or two, but 6.  So can you guess what I'll be doing in the next few weeks?  Oh my knitting and quilts in my future.

Alchemist Down

knit wool cozy and woven wool throw

What happens when the Alchemist comes down with the wheezles and sneezles? ( A big thank you to Pooh Bear who helped diagnose my malady.)  -Why she knits herself a tea cozy, wraps herself in her hand woven throw ( she wove it when she was much younger) and hunkers down with a classic who-dun-it!
